Ever had that feeling where life looks fine from the outside, but inside, something just feels… off?

You’re not falling apart. You’re not in crisis. You’re functioning.

Things get done. You show up. You smile.

But beneath the surface, there’s a quiet tug - the sense that something needs to shift.

You just don’t know what.

If that’s you, you’re not alone.

This is one of the most common places people begin their coaching journey.

And honestly? It’s not a bad place to start. It means you’re paying attention.

So… What is this feeling?

That quiet discomfort is often the sign that you’ve grown, but parts of your life haven’t caught up yet.

Sometimes we outgrow environments, habits, routines, or even roles we once chose.

But instead of noticing and adjusting, we tend to “push through,” telling ourselves:

  • I should be grateful

  • Other people have it worse

  • This is just how life is right now

These thoughts keep us stuck.

The first shift? Permission to pause and ask: What’s not quite working for me anymore?

Coaching Tool: The Mini Clarity Workbook

This feeling - the “something’s off but I can’t name it” - is exactly why I created the Mini Clarity Workbook.

It includes a coaching tool called the Wheel of Life, which helps you step back and look at your life in categories - relationships, health, work, home, fun, spirituality, and more.

You rate each area from 1 to 10 and then reflect on what feels strong… and what’s quietly running on empty.

When we zoom out like this, we often see things we’ve been too busy to notice:

  • That “meh” feeling at work isn’t just burnout - it’s a values mismatch

  • Your energy isn’t low because you’re lazy - you’re carrying a mental load no one sees

  • You feel unmotivated not because you're broken - but because there's no joy in your routine anymore

Clarity often starts with honesty.

That’s why this tool doesn’t ask you to “fix” anything. It just helps you see what’s going on.

Coaching Prompts to Try Today

If you’re not ready to dive into the workbook just yet, try sitting with one of these questions instead:

  1. Where in my life do I feel most like “me”?

  2. What am I avoiding because I’m afraid it will be uncomfortable?

  3. If I could wave a magic wand and change just one thing - what would it be?

Let your answers be messy. Let them be incomplete.

They don’t need to make sense yet.

You're not trying to find the answer, you’re just learning how to start asking the right questions.

Coaching Insight: Stuckness is Often a Sign of Disconnection

In coaching, we talk a lot about alignment.

Not in a spiritual or woo-woo way - but in a simple, human way:

  • Are the things I’m doing each day actually lining up with who I am and what matters to me?

If the answer is no, even subtly - your body will tell you.

It shows up as fatigue, resentment, irritability, overthinking, or that lingering sense of “meh.”

You’re not lazy. You’re not dramatic. You’re just overdue for a check-in.

If You’re Still Not Sure Where to Start…

Here’s a small practice I often give my coaching clients when they feel stuck:

Name one area of your life that feels low-energy.

→ Got it? Now ask: What would 1% better look like this week?

Not perfect. Not fixed. Not Instagram-worthy.

Just 1% better.

  • That might be going to bed 20 minutes earlier.

  • It might be texting a friend first.

  • It might be saying no to something you usually say yes to - just because you don’t want to.

Final Thought: Change Doesn’t Start With a Plan - It Starts With Noticing

You don’t need to know the full solution.

You don’t need a 5-year plan or a giant breakthrough.

You just need to notice.

And if you’d like a bit of guidance along the way, I’d love to help you through that process.
